For more than 200 years, the Democratic Party has represented the interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities and justice for all Americans. Today, Democrats continue that fight with a firm commitment to the values that we all share as Americans: secure the nation, end the war in Afghanistan responsibly, and restore our moral standing in the world; free ourselves from the tyran
ny of oil once and for all; restore the Constitution and protect the civil rights and liberties of all Americans. That commitment is reflected in an agenda that emphasizes strong economic growth, affordable health care for all Americans, retirement security and open, honest and accountable government. The Floyd County Democratic Party promotes the election of Party candidates with both technical and financial support; and works with national, state, and local party organizations, elected officials, candidates, and constituencies to respond to the needs and views of the Democratic electorate and the nation. Our goals include:
1.Recruit, train and support outstanding Democrat candidates.
2.Mobilize voters in support of Democratic candidates and issues.
3.Increase public awareness of Democratic principles, values and policies.
4.Attract contributors/supporters, volunteers and voters.
