 Today, our community came together to ensure that PVT1 Junior Lee Wilkins, a veteran who served during Vietnam, was laid to rest with honor and dignity he deserved. Although he was unclaimed, he certainly was not alone.

I want to extend our sincere respect towards the Warrick County Coroner’s Office for their compassion and dedication in making sure this veteran received proper Military Funeral Honors. Their efforts reflect the very best of public service.

Military Funeral Honors will be held for PVT1 Junior Lee Wilkins, a Vietnam Veteran, on April 9th at 1:30 PM at the National Cemetery in New Albany.

Mr. Wilkins is currently unclaimed, and Warrick County has asked for community support to ensure he is not laid to rest alone.

If you are able, please consider attending. Your presence will help ensure he is remembered and given the dignity he deserves.

Like many places across the country, Floyd County has been deeply affected by overdoses. Too many lives have been lost, and every one of those lives leaves behind families and friends looking for answers.

Project Recovery So. IN., Inc has been an invaluable partner of the Floyd County Coroner’s Office in this crisis.

Coroner Matthew Tomlin was honored to speak at Project Recovery’s Save a Life Day Mutual Benefit Concert. This event brought together so many great people in the community for a common goal.
