It is tick season in Ohio!

Protect yourself, your family, and your pets when enjoying the outdoors. Ticks thrive in tall grass, brushy areas, wooded trails, leaf litter, and even your backyard.

Keep yourself safe by wearing long sleeves and pants, applying EPA-approved insect repellents, and performing thorough full-body tick checks.

If you find a tick attached, use fine-tipped tweezers to pull it straight upward with steady pressure. Clean the bite area with soap and water.

Be alert for symptoms like fever, chills, and headaches. If you notice any, contact your healthcare provider promptly. Don't forget to check your pets daily too! ⚠️🐕
