NAPL is an independent town library. We have books, DVDs, computers, printers, copiers, and fax. We're open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 AM-5:30 PM.

If the book you want isn't in the library, ask and we will order it for you! Library cards are free!

Continuing the Halloween theme, the Children's Book of the Week is "It's Halloween, You 'Fraidy Mouse! (Geronimo Stilton, No. 11)" by Elisabetta Dami. This book is for a child in the early to mid-2nd grade reading level (Lexile 410), but could still be a bedtime reading book!

This week's featured children's book is "Froggy's Halloween" by Jonathan London and illustrated by Frank Remkiewicz.
Kids will love following along as Froggy decides what he wants his Halloween costume to be! This book is recommended for ages 3-7 🐸👑🍂

We have several different genres represented-- "The Whistler" by John Grisham (crime/thriller), "The Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer (classics/poetry), "Old Cowboys Never Die" by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone (western), and "Foxe's Book of Martyrs" by John Foxe (nonfiction/religious).
The New Augusta Public Library has something for everyone! Let us know if you've read any of these titles before! 📚

With October well underway, our Children's Book of the Week is "Two Little Witches: A Halloween Counting Story" by Harriet Ziefert, with illustrations by Simms Taback! 👻🎃 This book is recommended for ages 2-4 and is great for the season and for helping kids practice their numbers!

We've got a great fall-ish story as our Children's Book of the Week, along with several other autumn/spooky titles on display! This is the delightful story of Crispin and the Dancing Piglet, by Linda M. Jennings.

Attention Perry County, MS, Elementary Teachers and Home Schoolers: This week we added the complete box set of Little Economists books. This set includes 8 books ("What is Money", "How to Spend Wisely", "What is a Credit Card", "Supply and Demand", "What is Inflation", "Interest and Compound Interest", "Make Money", and "What is a Stock") and a set of conversation cards. The books are suitable for ages 4 - 10 and would be perfect for elementary teachers (or home schooling moms) who would like to include some economic topics in their curricula. The conversation cards include questions associated with each book to trigger discussion and interest. For example: What's something big you want to save for in the future, even if it takes a long time? or Can you think of something you do now to make money? The set is available to check out. Kids will love learning about the work and adventures of cowboys out in the Wild West! This book is suggested for ages 4-8!
