The Racial Inequities in Maternal Health Commission will be focusing on maternal health experiences and efforts in the South Coast at its next meeting and listening session on Monday November 15th. The Commission is especially interested in hearing from People of Color, including maternal health practitioners, birthing people, birthing partners, mothers, fathers, and other family members affected by maternal mortality or severe maternal morbidity. The goal of the Commission is to listen and learn from lived experiences and best practices to better inform strategies and improve outcomes for pregnant women and especially pregnant women of color. We need your help! The City of New Bedford is set to receive $64 million in federal ARPA money, and it has released a survey to the community asking where the money should go. This is an excellent opportunity for local advocacy for greater investment in early education.

Please visit the 30-second survey linked below, and select "Other" and write "Early Education!" This will be an enormous help to NorthStar and to our new Early Education & Community Center.
