"Something is rotten in the state of Denmark."

Shakespeare in New Bedford returns for another year next week with Reverie Theatre Group's production of HAMLET, directed by Omar Laguerre-Lewis. This production brings to light the play's poignant themes of mortality, madness, and moral corruption and sets it in the present day American South.

Performances are FREE and run August 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, & 22 at 7:30pm and August 16 & 23 at 2pm for two sensory friendly matinees. No reservation required, seating is first come, first served.

We've had a busy few months here at the RJD!

Our Civics Fair, the lecture from our friends at the Whitfield/Manjiro house, and the Quaker, Whaler, Traitor Spy book talk and signing provided great educational experiences to bring our community together. We have seen a few camp groups for our bee/pollination field trip, including The Community Boating Center. Our weekly yoga class with the has been a great way to recharge and connect in our garden. Plus, we are gearing up for our annual Shakespeare production with and had a great lecture about this year's show, HAMLET.

There's always something to do.
