Gratitude to Sen. Mark Montigny for supporting Southcoast Youth Courts; sadly, positive youth development programming is getting cut so this support is needed now more than ever. Special thanks to Chris Hendricks and Rep. Antonio F. D. Cabral for their ongoing support in the House.

The Massachusetts Senate has approved $100,000 in funding for the South Coast Youth Court programs serving New Bedford and Fall River as part of its FY2027 state budget. The allocation, included via Amendment 738 sponsored by Senator Mark Montigny (D-New Bedford), supports voluntary juvenile

As we head into a weekend often filled with gatherings and celebrations, we also recognize that holidays can be challenging for those in recovery. PAACA encourages everyone to celebrate safely, support one another, and remember that sobriety is something worth protecting every day.

Whether you’re spending time with loved ones, attending events, or simply taking time to reflect, know that you are never alone in your recovery journey. Stay safe, stay connected, and take care of yourself and those around you.
