Attention residents of the Village of New Berlin! 🚨

Tonight, the New Berlin Fire Department, along with our mutual aid partners at 6PM, will be conducting a joint training exercise at 6 lake street. If you see emergency vehicles or hear sirens, please don’t be alarmed—this is just a drill to keep us all prepared. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Spring is nearly here, and so is the annual burn ban. As the snow melts and temperatures rise, New York State is at an increased risk of wildfires in the spring. In effect from March 16 through May 14, the annual burn ban prohibits residents from burning vegetation and brush with few exceptions.

Looking for a way to help out?

Here is a small effort that could have a large impact on you and your neighbors.

Clear the area around any hydrants on or near your property. If you know of a “dry hydrant” or rural pond hydrant those need to be cleared, too.

Our members did well over 20 hydrants last night in exchange for fire skill training.
