The Class of 2024 for Craven County Schools Reported $16.25 Million in Scholarships
That's fantastic news for Havelock High School securing over $7.5 million of the $16.25 million in scholarships. It is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and staff. It's not just a reflection of academic excellence but also of the support and guidance provided to the students throughout their high school journey. This achievement will undoubtedly open up many opportunities for the graduating class as they prepare for college or their chosen career paths.

School Lunch Heros
During the month of May, there are many celebrations to recognize the hard work of our district staff. On May 3rd it was School Lunch Hero Day. It goes without saying that our School Nutrition Staff makes the magic happen daily while prepping, preparing, and serving our students breakfast and lunch. We are so thankful for this essential group of employees and appreciate their efforts in making sure our students are fed a delicious and nutritious meal allowing them to focus on their studies.

Elementary students selected to represent their school have been practicing all day to prepare for this evenings All County Chorus Concert at 6:30 pm at the Performing Arts Center at Grover C Fields Middle School.

CTE Showcase
It was a wonderful opportunity for our students from various middle and high schools to interact with Board Members from the Craven π― Alliance during their February Board Meeting held at Havelock High School on February 7, 2024.
Students proudly displayed their learning and skills acquired from their CTE courses. The media center was filled with rich dialogue and passion. What a great way to celebrate CTE Month.
Today during the Board of Education Work Session our Board Members were surprised with a special shout out from our students and staff. We appreciate all who took the time to celebrate our Board during this special month.
