✈️ What can happen during teacher workdays? Just ask Mr. Ford!

Over the course of several workdays, Mr. Ford transformed his classroom into a design studio, workshop, and assembly space to design, build and paint a full-sized plane. Once completed, the aircraft was carefully disassembled and stored for future use.

This impressive creation will play a role in learning throughout the 2026-27 school year, serving as the centerpiece for a variety of cross-curricular projects. From literature connections like Hatchet to lessons in problem-solving, engineering, and critical thinking, the plane will help bring learning to life in unique and engaging ways.

We can't wait to see how this one-of-a-kind project inspires students next year! ✈️

The End-of-Year School Nutrition Awards & Celebration Banquet is always a hoot and this year was no different.

A special congratulations to Mr. Noah, who was recognized as our nominee for Employee of the Year! We are so proud of the care, consistency, and kindness he brings to our students and staff daily.

As Mr. Lee Kirkman shared this evening, the cafeteria is a place where every student belongs — a space to connect, socialize, and be cared for. Our school nutrition staff serve from the heart, and we are grateful for all they do for our Wildcat family.

This morning we celebrated our Beginning Teachers who completed their first three years of teaching and officially transitioned from BTs to professional educators.🍎

As Mrs. Brown, BT Coordinator for CCS, shared: “Teaching is not about perfection. It’s about persistence,” and today was proof that these educators “endured, adapted, and grew.”

We are so proud of our BT3s, Mr. Ford, Ms. Edwards, and Mrs. Murrell (not pictured), along with their incredible mentors, Mr. Lipsky, Mrs. Daniels, and Mrs. Rasmussen, whose guidance and support helped shape these first years in the classroom.

A special shoutout to district BT Coordinators Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Swain for organizing this first-ever celebration and honoring the dedication, growth, and heart of our beginning teachers. Congratulations to all!

The End of Year Staff shindig was laugh-out-loud awesome with its outrageously retro 90s vibe. There were snorts, singing, and of course chow and team spirit. The End of Year staff superlatives were hilariously on the money once again.
