UPDATE: National Night Out RESCHEDULED to SEPTEMBER 29th at Union Point
National Night Out has been RESCHEDULED for SEPTEMBER 29, 2026, from 5p.m. – 8 p.m. at Union Point Park due to anticipated inclement weather.
The rescheduled event will go on as planned, bringing together residents and local public safety agencies for family-friendly activities, safety demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with neighbors.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and look forward to seeing everyone on September 29th for our National Night Out celebration.

National Night Out August 4th at Union Point ParkJoin us for fun, food, and community at National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Union Point Park, 210 East Front Street. Rain date is Tuesday, October 6th.Bring your family to connect with local public safety organizations and enjoy family-friendly activities. Meet first responders from multiple agencies, watch the New Bern Police K-9 Unit, and explore various emergency and antique police vehicles.Want to improve neighborhood safety? Visit the Welcome Tent to learn about and sign up for the Neighborhood Watch program, meet law enforcement, and get crime prevention resources.Craven Community College Barber School returns this year to offer free haircuts inside the gazebo.Enjoy local food vendors including The Charburger, Funnels of Love, Two Crazy Donuts, Mesquite Grill, and Kona Ice.National Night Out is an annual campaign that builds relationships between law enforcement, residents, businesses, and community organizations to keep New Bern safe and connected.
