Our club promotes the principles of freedom, equality and justice upon which the government of this country is founded. Our mission is to encourage loyalty to the Republican Party and to promote its principles and candidates in all elections, including non-partisan elections. For NC voters there's a possibility of 4 Amendments on the ballot this year.

Senate Bill 1080, which would propose a constitutional amendment lowering it to 3.5%. The cap is currently 7%. The effective rate for 2027 is 3.49%. Democrats are opposed as it would limit their ability increase taxes to spend on their pet projects when they take back the legislature.

The second proposed amendment dealing with taxes would allow state lawmakers to impose limits on how much local governments can increase property taxes.

Senate Bill 1081, would establish a constitutional “right to farm.” The proposal would guarantee “the right of the people to engage in the cultivation of crops, the raising of livestock and poultry, the production of dairy and apiary products, the harvesting of timber, and other practices for the production of agricultural and forestry commodities.”

Finally, Senate Bill 1082, would further solidify North Carolina’s status as a “right to work” state, in which labor unions have minimal power.
