Congratulations to Nelda Cales, the winner of this beautiful quilt handmade and donated by the Soul Sisters Prayer Group of St. Paul Catholic Church!
Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the raffle raised an amazing $948, with all proceeds benefiting the Craven County Health Department Foundation. Pictured are Soul Sisters Prayer Group members Mary Quay, Chantal Huestis, and Volunteer Coordinator Stephanie Leonard.

The Craven County Health Department Foundation held its 22nd Annual Spring Breakfast Fundraiser yesterday, May 13th, at the Riverfront Convention Center, and it was a tremendous success!
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this event possible. A huge thank you to all the attendees for their generosity and support for Craven County Hospice.
Special thanks to our guest speaker, Rex Bennett, for delivering an amazing speech that moved and inspired us all.

Happy Nurses Week to our incredible hospice nurses at Craven County Hospice 💙

We wanted to get a picture with everyone together, but our nurses are always on the go — caring for patients, supporting families, and showing up wherever they’re needed most. So while we may not have captured everyone in one photo, we couldn’t let the week pass without celebrating them.

Their compassion, dedication, patience, and hearts for hospice care make a difference every single day. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of them. Thank you for all you do for our patients, families, and community. 🩺✨

Join us for a delicious breakfast served by The Flame, and make a difference in the lives of patients and their families. Sponsor a table for $150 and invite up to 10 guests. Your support will help raise money for vital services not covered by Medicare, such as respite care. The event will take place on May 13th from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Riverfront Convention Center. Love was in the air — and so was a little hospice magic 💍❤️

Congratulations to Tiffany and Bert Cranor! When Tiffany joined our team as a nurse not long ago, moving here from Ohio without family nearby, it didn’t take long for her to become part of our hospice family. We quickly knew she was one of our own.

When we heard Tiffany and Bert were planning a simple trip to the Justice of the Peace, our team couldn’t let that happen without a little celebration. In true hospice family fashion, we secretly came together to surprise them with a bridal shower and wedding.

Wishing Tiffany and Bert a lifetime of love and happiness. We’re so grateful we got to be a small part of such a beautiful beginning. 💐✨

Despite the sadness of meeting folks at the end of their lives, we still find reason to laugh with one another through the day. On that same token, we also sometimes cry together. Workplace culture is constantly evolving in any office setting. Our lives are woven together with the same passion of seeking contentment and gratification with what we do with our time at work and the people we touch in our community. -clayton

🍀 We had a great time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with our Hospice Hall Pub Crawl fundraiser!
Our Health Department colleagues enjoyed mocktails and sweets, all to support the Craven County Health Department Foundation 💚
We also loved having our volunteers in the office working on love notes. A great day all around!
