On Tuesday the Rotary Club of New Bern donated $1,000 toward the Neuse River Bridge Run which will take place this year May 3-4. Pictured from left to right are April Young representing the effort as well as Rotarian Margaret Shields and current club president Gary Flannery.

The Anonymous Trust of Raleigh, NC will help New Bern Preservation Foundation finalize its Preservation of King Solomon’s Lodge Project with two grants - a $50,000 outright grant and a $25,000 Challenge Grant!!
More to come on the $25,000 Grant!

The City of New Bern is receiving $249,000 from the Golden Leaf Foundation!! Fund Development wrote a flood mitigation grant to help reduce repetitive flooding in the Duffyfield Community. The grant will fund lowering The Rose Street Pump to capture water at lower levels in the Canal. The pump pumps water out of the Duffeyfield Canal and under the railroad tracks into the Jack Smith Watershed.
