The Perry County Sheriff’s Office had the great honor of participating in the “Light to Unite” flag ceremony on Monday morning. Scouts and Scouters from Troop 64, Duncannon, did a great job and we were proud to be part of this initiative leading up to America’s 250th anniversary of Independence! Also a big thank you for State Representative Perry Stambaugh for taking time from the voting secession to be part of this event!

My bill passed the House and is headed to the Governor’s desk. These officers complete the same rigorous training as other police but were never formally issued certification numbers. My bill ensures officers receive automatic certification—eliminating a needless hurdle for those who put their lives on the line every day.
