May 27, 2026 marks the end of an era in the longstanding partnership between the Town of New Boston and the New Boston Space Force Station. Today, the New Boston Fire Department officially relocated its fleet and equipment from the Space Force Station to the newly constructed Central Station, as Engine 5 and Ambulance 2 are now stationed downtown.

This transition represents an exciting new chapter for the department and the community, while honoring the history and partnership shared over many years.

Did you know the majority of emergency calls in New Boston are EMS based? Roughly 70% of our emergency calls are the result of illness, injuries or crashes. In addition, only a few of our members are not trained to some level of EMS provider. From EMR's to Paramedics, we all work together to ensure the best possible outcome to those patients that call for help!

This year’s theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” is an opportunity to focus on the many ways EMS professionals work together and across disciplines—with 911, healthcare, public health, fire service, law enforcement, and others—in the best interests of patients.
