Thank you IEDC for spotlighting our announcement. We will be having a training session on how to become a certified business on June 21st, 2017. It will be a webinar, so the entire multi-state Texarkana region will be able to participate. Training is not specific to TexAmericas Center property, but to any company wishing to operate in a HUBZone. Contact TexAmericas Center for more information.

What better way to celebrate Economic Development Week than by sharing that TexAmericas Center has received official HUBZone Program designation. Today, we were able to celebrate this exciting win with the official announcement from Congressman John Ratcliffe and program highlights from our friends and partners at the U.S. Small Business Administration. We want to thank the Congressman and his staff for working diligently on this effort over the past year and the SBA. This HUBZone designation is a win for the entire Texarkana region by working to attract businesses-- ultimately growing jobs and continuing to improve the quality of life for the region. Thank you to everyone who came out this afternoon to support these efforts and to celebrate with us. [Photos credit: Katelyn Peek] #edw2017 #econdevweek

Texarkana is often considered a rural metro market, for instance the USDA considers the entire region rural, and eligible for its Business & Industry programs, because not one municipality has more than 50,000 residents. How has life gotten better here over the years, or what do you like about the greater Texarkana region?
