Dear Neighbors, Friends, and Families of New Braintree,

The 275th Anniversary Committee is hard at work planning an unforgettable year of milestones to celebrate New Braintree’s rich history and vibrant community spirit.

At the heart of this milestone year is our hallmark community celebration: Olde Home Day on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 from 1:00pm - 8:00 pm where we will celebrate not only the 275th anniversary of our town, but also the 250th anniversary of our country! This classic town festival will feature many fun activities, including:

• A traditional parade beginning at 1:00pm
• J. P. Ellory’s line dancing demonstration with the opportunity to participate
• A wandering clown
• Next Step dance demonstration
• Bustling Farmers Market
• Traditional Children's games
• Hay bale throwing contest
• The entertaining Over the Hump Band 2:30 - 3:30
• Pie eating contest
• Opportunity to enter your homemade pie in an Apple Pie making contest
• Beer & Wine tent – Lost Towns Brewing & Agronomy
• Local Food Trucks – Savage Wraps & Off the Hook
• The fun and energetic band Disco Lemonade from 5:30 – 7:30 with a spectacular bonfire!!
• Plus lots more!!!!!!

To make Olde Home Day a true reflection of our town's remarkable character, we need you! We are actively seeking volunteers, market vendors, and parade participants to bring this celebration to life. Here is how you can get involved and be a part of New Braintree’s history:

PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITIES:

• Join the Olde Home Day Parade – Floats & Marchers

We are calling on local organizations, farms, families, businesses, historic enthusiasts, and creative individuals to enter a float, tractor, vintage vehicle, or marching group into the 275th Anniversary Parade. Whether it represents our town’s agricultural roots, historic milestones, or your own neighborhood and/or family spirit, we want you in line!
Contact [email protected] for a parade registration form as soon as possible if you intend to enter a float or group so we know how many participants we will have and to secure your position in the parade lineup.

• Farmers Market

Our Olde Home Day Farmers Market will showcase the very best of local agriculture, craftsmanship & artisan goods. We are looking for local farmers, bakers, crafters and creators to host a booth and share their talents with hundreds of attendees.
Spaces are free, limited, and priority will be given to local farmers and vendors. Reach out today to secure your application.

• Festival Volunteers and Event Sponsors
An event of this scale relies entirely on the helping hands of neighbors like you. We need dedicated volunteers for short, flexible shifts throughout the day to assist with children's games, setup and breakdown, logistics, and coordinating activities. If you or your business would prefer to support financially, we also have sponsorship opportunities available.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our community. Let’s make history and celebrate together!!!
