Big Creativity on Display at Veramendi Elementary 🎨✨

More than 600 students at Veramendi Elementary School came together this spring to create a massive 30-foot collaborative art installation for Big Art Day under the direction of art teacher Elise Craig.

Inspired by abstract artist Charles McGee, the low-relief sculpture features twisting, overlapping strips filled with bold patterns, dots, zigzags, and graphic designs created by students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The final piece is a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and student expression. 💙

Our 5th graders had a sneak peak into the life of an Oak Run Middle schooler today! 💙🦄
Performances by the band, dance, cheer, choir, as well as a skit from the school mascots, and information by school administration. We ended with a campus tour led by Student Leadership groups.
💙Thank you Oak Run Middle School - New Braunfels ISD for having us today! It was a well organized and successful event!

3rd graders had a blast at CEMEX New Braunfels this morning! We explored the rock quarry, machinery, and learned all about conservation. Following the tour, everyone was treated to a Chick-fil-a lunch & Bluebell Ice Cream👷💛🚧

📚We had a WONDERful night at VE’s One School One Book event! 📚 Celebrating the theme of the story, we had many fun activities and student projects on display! We also had many inspired readers shopping the book fair with our BOGO special! 💙
