The Guad takes care of us. Let’s take care of it.

Join us for our annual Guadalupe River cleanup on May 30th at Lazy L&L. We’ll spend the morning picking up trash, improving the river, and doing our part to protect one of the most important fisheries in Texas. 🎣

🗓 Saturday, May 30, 2026
⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Lazy L&L Campgrounds

Plan to meet at the front of L&L at 8:00 AM, where someone will be there to check you in and point you in the right direction.

🍕 We’ll have pizza and drinks ready when we wrap up.

🥾 Bring gloves, waders or sturdy shoes, and a reusable water bottle.

Bring a friend and come lend a hand. 👊

Water systems aren’t built around one season.

They’re managed over years — sometimes decades — with the understanding that conditions will change.

The goal isn’t to react in the moment. It’s to stay prepared over time.

Earlier this month, the GBRA Environmental team connected with members of the Texas Master Naturalist Lindheimer Chapter at the Mammen Family Library in Bulverde. We were delighted to share information with their volunteers, who play an important role in supporting education, outreach, and stewardship of natural resources within their communities.

GBRA staff shared insight into local conservation efforts and water quality initiatives, helping connect regional work to broader efforts throughout the Texas Hill Country.

Opportunities like this help strengthen partnerships and conversations around responsible resource management and preserving the natural areas that make this region so special.
