🌟 Mrs. Harari’s Weekly Wins | Week 1 🌟

What a first week! ❤️🐾 Here are a few of Mrs. Harari’s favorite WINS as we welcomed our Ocelots back to campus:

1. ☂️ Shade for Days — Seeing our new umbrellas in action and keeping everyone a little cooler!

2. 🏠 House Sorting — Watching our newest Ocelots spin the wheel and officially join their Houses!

3. ⏰ Before 4:00! — Finishing first-day dismissal before 4:00 was a BIG win!

4. 🚗 Right Place, Right Way — Every Ocelot got home the correct way all week long!

5. ⛈️ Safety First — Getting everyone home safely even when lightning changed our plans yesterday!

6. 👏 Hallway Rockstars — Our hallway expectations are looking AWESOME, with lots of positive and connected feedback happening!

7. ❤️ Teamwork in Action — Watching staff and families work together when dismissal routes had to change at the last minute!

8. 👮‍♂️ Welcome, Deputy Lockett! — Introducing our new SRO to students and seeing him jump right into team-building activities across campus!

9. 🏆 Attendance Banners Are Here — We can’t wait to start celebrating classes with 95% or higher weekly attendance next week!

10.❤️ Our Ocelots Are BACK! — Nothing beats having our hallways filled with students, laughter, learning, and excitement again!

Who’s Been Spotted at School?! 🐾👀

Our first “Who’s Been Spotted at School?” happened this morning, and the wheel landed on lucky number 19! 🎉

Every Ocelot has a number under their chair. When the wheel chooses a number and if that student is at school and in their seat, they’ve been SPOTTED! 👀🐾

Being at school matters. Every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and be part of what’s happening at Oak Creek. Thank you, families, for helping our Ocelots show up each day!

On the first day of school, every class spent time with our principals to refresh our campus expectation, or, for our newest Ocelots, learn them for the very first time! We reviewed all the important things that help us be safe, respectful, responsible, and proud to be Oak Creek Ocelots.

But of course, the MOST exciting part was welcoming our newest Ocelots into their Houses! 🏠✨ Our new kindergarteners took their turn spinning the wheel to discover their House, along with all of our new Ocelots, including staff, joining Oak Creek this year. The cafeteria was FILLED with excitement, cheers, and plenty of House pride as each student found out where they belong! 🎉

Your child should have come home with an information sheet all about their House, so now is the perfect time to learn those colors, values, and traditions, and yes, feel free to start stocking up on ALL the House swag! Our first House Dress-Up Day is coming in September, and we can’t wait to see Oak Creek covered in ❤️💙💚💛🩶!

Day ✌️ was another fantastic one at Oak Creek! 🐾

We want to give a HUGE thank you to every family who purchased and donated umbrellas for our arrival and dismissal line! Your generosity has already made such a difference in helping keep our staff and students cooler during these HOT Texas afternoons. ☀️

We are so incredibly appreciative of the way our Oak Creek families continue to show up and support our school. It truly takes a village, and we have the BEST one! ❤️

Here’s to another great day of learning, growing, and making memories at the Creek! 🐾

📸 FIRST DAY PICS! Drop your Ocelot’s first day photos in the comments below, we’d love to see them! ❤️🐾

What a GREAT first day at Oak Creek! 🎉 It was so wonderful welcoming back our returning Ocelots and meeting so many new faces joining our Oak Creek family.

Our students jumped right in, learning classroom routines, building connections, and already doing some great learning! We also had our new ocelots get sorted into their Houses today 👀❤️💙💚💛🩶… but you’ll have to wait until later this week for the big reveal!

A huge THANK YOU to our families for your patience, flexibility, and support at arrival, throughout the day, and especially during dismissal as everyone learned new routines and procedures. And perhaps one of our biggest first-day victories… dismissal was finished BEFORE 4:00 PM! 🙌 We’ll call that a first-day WIN!

Day 1 is officially in the books, Ocelots! 🐾❤️

They work hard behind the scenes every day to keep our school clean, safe, and ready for our students and staff. We appreciate everything they do to take care of Oak Creek!
