Watson Lane Overpass at I35~

This just in from TXDOT:

Due to an excavator striking the bridge, South bound main lanes, and damaging several beams it will remain closed until repairs are made. Repairs are scheduled for the week of November 16th and are scheduled to be completed by the end of the week. Repairs will be ongoing each night, 9pm - 5am. Additional closures while work is underway each night, all of south bound main lanes will close for the beam repairs.

For those who have to travel to 46 & 281 over the next couple of weeks

LANE CLOSURE NOTICE

Project: SH 46 Improvement Project
Location: SH 46 at US 281

Date: Beginning Sunday, October 26, 2025
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the contractor will implement the following closures as part of the SH 46 project to accommodate a traffic switch (Phase 3B):

Sunday, October 26, 2025:
The US 281 southbound off-ramp to SH 46 will be closed overnight to complete the traffic switch to Phase 3B. This closure is necessary to move traffic into a new configuration.

Sunday, October 26, 2025 through approximately Wednesday, November 5, 2025:
The US 281 northbound on-ramp from SH 46 will be closed for construction work associated with the Phase 3B switch.
A detour will be in place directing SH 46 traffic to travel south on US 281, then use the turnaround to access US 281 northbound.

The ramp will remain closed until work is completed, which is estimated to take one to one and a half weeks.
