✨ Hobby Haus: D&D Basics 🐉🎲✨

Ready to start your Dungeons & Dragons journey? Whether you’re brand new to the game or dreaming of running your own campaign, this beginner-friendly series is the perfect place to start!

Join us on Wednesdays at the Main Library from 6:00pm–7:30pm on May 27, June 3, and June 10 as we explore the basics of D&D through session planning, character creation, and guided gameplay.

⚔️ Learn how to run your own campaign
🧙 Create characters and build adventures
🎲 Gain confidence as a Dungeon Master
📚 Full D&D gameplay kits will be available for checkout after the series

Participants will leave with the tools and confidence to lead fun, story-driven adventures for their own groups!

Our Libraries (Main & Westside Branch) will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observnace of the Memorial Day holiday.

Many City of New Braunfels facilities will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.

▪️Municipal Court
▪️The Public Library (Main & Westside Branch)
▪️Parks & Recreation administrative offices
▪️The Fischer Park Nature Education Center
▪️Solid Waste and Recycling administrative offices
▪️The City Recycle Center
▪️The Civic & Convention Center
▪️The Westside Community Center

There is no change to residential and commercial garbage and recycling collection, with garbage, green waste, and recycling collection remaining on their usual schedule.

The Rio will not be in service on Monday, May 25.

There are no changes to the schedule for the Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs.

Das Rec will have modified hours of operation on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The City of New Braunfels is inviting residents to complete the ADA Transition Plan Survey and view an ADA-compatible presentation and video about the City’s efforts to support residents with disabilities at www.newbraunfels.gov/ada

The City of New Braunfels, as part of its Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation & Transition Plan, is asking residents to take the ADA Transition Plan Survey.

A public outreach presentation and video that helps explain the efforts the City is taking to address the needs of residents with disabilities is also available.

This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” invites readers of all ages to explore new ideas, discover great books, and enjoy a season of learning and creativity. The kickoff celebration will feature a variety of activities for the whole family!
