With Gratitude and Love – A Final Farewell ❤️🔥
Tonight we gathered for the final meeting of the Daugherty Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. While it is hard to say goodbye, we cannot let this moment pass without honoring the incredible women who poured their hearts into this organization from the very beginning.
From the founding members who built the Auxiliary with love and determination in 1953, to those who carried the torch over the years — your tireless efforts made a difference. Through countless fundraisers, community events, and endless hours of work behind the scenes, you helped ensure that our fire department had the support, equipment, and resources needed to serve and protect.
The Auxiliary was more than just an organization — it was a family. Together you cooked, planned, organized raffles, sold tickets, ran events, and gave so much of yourselves for the good of the fire department and the community. The money raised wasn’t just dollars — it was true service.
While this chapter has come to an end, the impact of your dedication and the spirit of giving you inspired will never fade. The legacy you leave behind is one of service, strength, and love for community.
