Grove Cemetery is pleased to announce the addition of the Garden of Peace located in the upper section on South Avenue. The new area allows for a beautiful, peaceful view which was recently enhanced by a generous donation by Mrs. Joan Tracy, in memory of her husband, Robert E. (Bob) Tracy. Ten new Spring Flurry Serviceberry Trees were planted near the existing Columbarium. These trees offer pure white blooms in the spring and give way to healthy green foliage that turns orange in the fall. Mrs. Tracy also donated a new marble bench with an inscription honoring her husband’s work for the reorganization of Grove Cemetery. Visitors can sit and enjoy the peaceful view of not only the new trees, but the grove of established trees and the horizon beyond. The Columbarium also received an inscription thanks to Mrs. Tracy that includes the name of the new section.
The Garden of Peace is available for cremation benches, cremation plots, and niches in the Columbarium that house cremains. Pre-need and at need services are available by calling Grove Cemetery at 724-843-2960 to speak with or leave a message for our Family Services Representative.
