Our dense forests here in the Northeast are a treasured part of the landscape, and keeping them healthy takes all of us. Dark banding on tree leaves can be a sign of Beech Leaf Disease. If you spot it, reach out to an arborist to help confirm and recommend next steps. Healthy trees help keep our communities safe and power flowing reliably. Head to the link in the comments for everything you need to know about maintaining vegetation and trees on your property.

Welcome to the Bob Allen Arboretum! During his nearly 40-year career as an arborist, Bob brought to life his creative and innovative concept of a botanical garden featuring trees that can thrive underneath our power lines in NH, MA, and CT to help our neighbors plant the right tree in the right place. “It gives our customers, landscape architects, students, tree wardens, and government officials, the opportunity to see what a specific tree looks like in relation to the wires during all four seasons,” Bob said. In honor of his legacy, we recently renamed our arboretum in Hooksett after Bob. Hear more from our Manager of Vegetation Management Ian Farley.
