Important News from New Britain EMS Academy
Over the years, our Academy has been a beacon of excellence in EMS education, and we’re deeply proud of the impact our staff and students have made on our community’s safety and well-being.
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close the New Britain EMS Academy. This choice wasn’t easy, but several post-pandemic challenges, including decreased enrollment, rising costs, and increased competition along with market saturation, make it necessary to ensure our organization’s long-term stability and to prioritize our core mission of delivering exceptional 911 emergency care.
🔸 Closure Timeline: Our EMT programs will wrap up on December 31, 2024, and paramedic programs will conclude by May 31, 2025. All current students will be able to complete their courses as planned.
🔸 AHA Training Continues: While our main programs will end, our American Heart Association (AHA) training center will remain fully operational, and we will expand our focus on community outreach, internal staff development, and enhanced support for our EMTs and paramedics.
We want to thank you all for the trust and support you’ve shown us. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your support has been instrumental to the Academy’s success, and we look forward to continuing our journey together in new ways.
Thank you for being an invaluable part of our community.
