Hello Health Academy friends & alumni,

We just wanted to make everyone aware of the current situation regarding the budget and the Academies at NBHS. Many of you have benefited from one or more of the Academies, and might already be working in a field that you previously took a class in. We are in danger of losing a vital academy advocate and the class sizes have been predicted to balloon extremely high. In the past 3 years we have lost two Health Academy senior classes which enabled students to learn advanced skills. We don't want the students to lose out on more learning and real world opportunities.

We are proud of our Health Academy students and all that you have achieved not only in High School, but in the years following. If any of you and/or your parents are able to attend the Common Council Meeting which will be held Thursday 5/7/26 at 6:30pm on the second floor of City Hall, 27 West Main St. New Britain, we would appreciate your honest words of support.
