The career closet is a free service offered at the New Britain Public Library with the goal of helping people looking for work by providing access to gently used business casual clothing for job interviews. Donate or stop by the closet Fridays from 12:00 - 4:00pm!

This Wednesday, the New Britain Public Library Jefferson Branch celebrated 70 years of serving the community of New Britain! We had a wonderful time with our neighbors! It was a joy to see old and new friends come by and share stories of their visits to the library. A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Jefferson Elementary School for coming to our party, as well as members of the library board, and Mayor Bobby Sanchez for coming by and presenting us with a proclamation of our service.

The library is so grateful for the opportunity to serve this community for the past 70 years, and we are looking forward to serving you for many more!

Our celebration hasn't stopped yet! Please come on by to 140 Horse Plain Road and take a look at our History Walk; we still have some commemorative pins marking the event too!
