As the legislative session wraps up, it’s the same old story: higher taxes, soaring energy rates, and new overreach into our medical and educational freedoms.

A huge thank you to the Republican legislators who fought the uphill battle. But the reality is that nothing changes until we vote for something different. We need a Governor and a legislature that live like we do and put taxpayers first.

Connecticut, it’s time to send a loud message. Let’s take our state back. It's time for something different.

Someone asked me the other day: “Why are you doing this?”

They told me they cringe every time they log onto social media because of how nasty the political climate has become. They couldn’t understand why I’d want to put myself and my family through it.

I told her: Because our state is worth it.

Call it "lame" or "idealistic" if you want, but I wouldn't be here if I didn't believe WE deserve a better future. I know I don’t fit the typical "politician mold"...and the insiders know it, too. That’s exactly why they’re fighting so hard to keep me out, and it’s the best reason why we need to change things from the top down.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes… the best present I could receive was the team spending all weekend putting up hundreds of lawn signs all over the state & making calls gaining on our delegate support.

Your belief in me and our plans to CHANGE this state for the BETTER is the best gift this 39 year old working class mom could ever ask for!
