Spring semester is in full swing which means officers are picking up found property all over campus. If you believe your property is at CCSU PD or you’ve received a phone call or email from an officer/dispatcher, please follow the procedures listed below:

🔹Contact dispatch at 860-832-2375
🔹Advise dispatch you would like to schedule an appointment to pick up your property.
🔹Dispatch will connect you with the folks who have access to said property. *Not all officers can access this space.*
🔹Schedule an appointment to pick up property.
🔹Retrieve property at date and time scheduled.

As a reminder our officers and detective wear many hats, making them very busy. If you show up in the lobby to pick up property without an appointment, there is a possibility the officers who have access may not be on campus to assist. They may also be busy in meetings, interviews, etc. that they cannot interrupt to return property.

By following these simple steps, you can easily be reunited with your lost items.

As a reminder: There is a PARKING BAN for ALL surface lots and top floors of ALL parking garages effective 6:00 PM today, Saturday February 8, 2025. If you have not moved your vehicle, please do so now. This will assist in the removal of snow this weekend. If your vehicle is not moved, there’s a possibility it may be towed so facilities can safely clear snow. This fella right here knows the tow truck operators will be busy with weather related accidents, and he’s hoping we can help them out by not needing their services on campus. Thanks for your cooperation. Stay warm & stay safe! 🐻‍❄️

As a new semester begins CCSU Police Department would like to remind students, faculty, staff & visitors of CCSU campus parking regulations.

Lots/Garages with a yellow pentagon on the sign are reserved for faculty & staff.
Lots/Garages with a red circle on the sign are reserved for commuter students and visitors.
Lots/Garages with a green square on the sign are reserved for resident students.

Many lots/garages also have color coordinated lines painted at each parking space. The color of the space coordinates with the list above.

If you’re parked in a parking space that does not coordinate with the parking decal on your vehicle you may be ticketed. If you are new to campus or recently changed vehicles please obtain a new parking decal at the card office or the police department.

Also as a reminder: spaces that are posted for Residence Director, Residence Life, Athletic Director, 15 or 30 minute parking, Oversized Vehicles parking, etc. are restricted parking spaces. Parking in these spaces may result in a parking ticket. Please be aware of these signs across campus.
