The PTO holds its final regular monthly meeting of the school year tonight at 6:30PM in the media center. The next All Night Graduation Party committee meeting is next Tuesday, June 6, at 7PM in the media center. (Please note the different meeting times.) All parents and guardians are invited to attend – please come!

Hi, folks! The NBHS PTO has arranged another pizza fundraiser for tomorrow, Wed, April 19, from noon to 8pm at Paradise Pizza, 10 East Main St. in New Britain. Eat in, take out, or have it delivered! 10% of sales will go to support the All Night Grad Party. No coupon is needed, but you must mention NBHS. For phone orders, call 860.827.8123. Pizza Thursday! Today, March 23, the PTO is having an ALL DAY fundraiser at People’s Choice Pizza (972 W Main St., 860-229-2000) to help raise money for the All Night Grad Party. Take a night off from cooking and order pizza online, at the store, or over the phone. Be sure to mention that your order is for NBHS when you call or pick up. Share with your family and friends…the more who order, the better! Thank you!
More restaurant fundraisers are being planned for April and May … watch for details!

Tonight is the annual NBHS Bonfire sponsored by the PTO! Please come out and join us on the gravel parking lot across from Beehive Stadium from 6:30-8:30pm. Chaperones are still needed. Wear warm clothes and bring a flashlight. If you are able to donate donuts (or another treat) for the bonfire, we would welcome them. There will be food, cocoa, and entertainment at the Bonfire- all free of charge and open to all NBHS students.

Tomorrow, the PTO is holding an Election Day Bake Sale to raise money for the All Night Graduation Party. If you are able to donate baked goods, we would be most appreciative. They can be brought to school (near the gym lobby) any time during the day tomorrow or you may drop off at the bonfire tonight. We are expecting a good turn out for voting tomorrow and the PTO hopes to have many baked goods to sell, so please help out if you can.

Due to the Bonfire,the monthly PMA meeting has been moved to next Monday Nov.14 at 7:00pm in the Band Room. Please attend if you have a student in the music program at NBHS!

All NBHS families and staff are invited to the Madrigal/Treble Choir Pasta Dinner fundraiser on Wed, Oct 19. For just $10, you’ll enjoy a tasty meal and live entertainment! Tickets available at the door or in advance from Madrigal and Treble Choir members. Look forward to seeing you there!

The monthly PTO meeting is scheduled for Oct 20 at 6:30 pm in the media center. Agenda items include the Bonfire (Nov 7) and the Election Day Bake Sale (Nov 8). Principal Joe Pinchera is guest speaker. Come meet other parents and teachers and learn what’s new at NBHS! Please note the meeting starts a half hour earlier than in past years.

More than 100 local and regional colleges will be at the College Fair on Oct 25. Juniors will attend during period 1, seniors during period 2. Individual college reps also continue to visit NBHS this month. On Wed Oct 26, Max II Pizza is hosting an all-day fundraiser for the NBHS PTO. Eat in, take out or delivery! Enjoy a pizza (or any other menu item) and help earn cash for the PTO.

Seniors and their parents/guardians are invited to Fall for Success on Sat, Oct 29. The free event starts at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon in the NBHS café and continues at 1 p.m. with a financial aid session where families will learn about the college financial aid process and get help filling out their FAFSA form. The NBHS PTO invites all parents and teachers to the first PTO meeting of the school year tomorrow, Thursday, September 15th, at 6:30 PM in the Media Center. Come hear what's new at New Britain High and learn about PTO activities for the coming year. We look forward to seeing you!
