ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE — COUNTY ROAD 359

The Coffee County Highway Department will begin a Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) project on County Road 359 beginning Monday, August 24, 2026.

Work will take approximately 4 weeks, weather permitting. Residents should expect possible traffic delays and isolated, temporary roadway closures during construction.

Please watch for construction equipment, workers, and signage, and allow extra travel time when traveling in the area.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve Coffee County Roadways.

Road Right-of-Way Vacation Notice – CR-238

The Coffee County Commission has officially completed the vacation of approximately 3,300 feet of CR-238, extending from CR-239 north to CR-237.

Following a public hearing held on July 13, the Commission approved the vacation of this prescriptive right-of-way. With the final public notice published in the Elba Clipper this completes the statutory process.

As a result, this former prescriptive right-of-way is no longer a public county road and is now considered private property.

🚧 ROAD WORK UPDATE – CR-725

Storm drain pipe replacement work on CR-725 will continue tomorrow, Monday, July 6, at Site 2, as shown on the attached map.

CR-725 will remain closed to through traffic until work is complete. Please continue to use the designated detour route and follow all posted traffic control signs.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this work in preparation for the upcoming resurfacing project and continue improving our county roads.

The City of Enterprise, Ala. announces that traffic has shifted onto the newly constructed alignment of County Road 606 as part of the ongoing Enterprise Municipal Airport expansion project. 🚧

Construction crews have completed the final connection to the new roadway alignment, relocating a portion of County Road 606 approximately 1,100 feet north of its previous connection point on Boll Weevil Circle. While construction activity will continue in the area over the coming weeks, motorists are now traveling the newly completed roadway alignment.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution when traveling through the area, as traffic patterns have changed. New traffic control signage has been installed along Boll Weevil Circle and County Road 606 to assist motorists through this transition. Motorists should reduce speed, remain alert, and carefully follow all posted signage.

The relocation of County Road 606 marks another significant milestone in the Enterprise Municipal Airport expansion project, which will enhance airport capacity and support continued economic growth for the City of Enterprise and Coffee County.

The City of Enterprise appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents, businesses, and visitors as construction continues, and looks forward to the completion of the remaining phases of this important infrastructure project.

Road Work Update – CR-725 Storm Drain Replacement

Weather conditions have improved, and our hope is to begin the scheduled storm drain replacement work on CR-725 this coming week, starting Monday, June 29th.

Please note that work remains weather dependent and schedules may be adjusted if conditions change. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to improve our county roads and infrastructure.

Due to excessive rainfall and saturated ground conditions, the scheduled storm drain replacement on CR-725 has been delayed. For the safety of our crews and to ensure the work can be completed properly, we plan to reschedule the replacement for next week.
