You are invited to join a movement briefing on Monday, Sept. 23rd at 6PM CT / 7PM ET to learn more about the “Formosa Four,” a group of activists arrested this summer for taking direct action at the U.S. Headquarters of Formosa Plastics in Livingston, NJ. Formosa Plastics Group is a Taiwanese petrochemical conglomerate with a long track record of abusing human rights, violating laws, and destroying the environment from Vietnam & Cambodia to Louisiana and Texas.
Ahead of their pre-trial hearing on Sept. 26th, register here to learn more about the legal case of these “Formosa Four” (including Diane Wilson, renowned environmental activist and fourth-generation shrimper, and Paula Rogovin, longtime climate activist and EmpowerNJ partner) who were charged with criminal trespass for blockading the entrance to the Formosa Plastics Headquarters.
The briefing will be a half hour, in which we will hear from Diane and other frontline leaders in the fight against Formosa Plastics, as well as share updates about the strategy of the defendants to take their case to trial. Afterwards, we will have the opportunity for a Q&A and some discussion.
