We found out today that one of our brightest and most special volunteers and donors passed away this week. Deanna and her family made such a positive impact on Embrace Kids. Deanna had an uncanny ability to uplift everybody and everything she touched. Her and Danny's kids grew up around Embrace Kids and made Evening for the Kids a family passion project. Deanna had such a great influence on me by showing me how to raise the bar on the visual presentation for our beloved dinner auction event, and her smile and persona were palpable. Deanna Louise DiDomenico, 66, of Wall Township, passed away peacefully at her home on May 24th, 2026. Much appreciation to our running team in Saturdays Spring Lake 5 mile run. The group raised over $12,000 for our cause and made the best of some gloomy weather.

Embrace Kids is looking to hire a Family Liaison in the coming months. The best candidates will be a few years out of Rutgers, have experience with RUDM & RU4Kids and have strong intent to make this a career. We do not hire parents from the program for this role and there are other eligibility requirements. The only way to inquire is to send an email to [email protected]

We have incredible, thanks and appreciation to the Freehold, Manalapan and Marlboro students that joined forces to produce last night’s very successful FRHSD THON that raised $37,542 in monetary and in-kind donations for Embrace Kids… thank you!!

Incredible Saturday at 2026 RUDM! The energy at this outside event on the Rutgers campus was incredible and especially when the Embrace Kids were dancing on stage. The fundraising results of $500,497 are fantastic and we are very appreciative of the Rutgers Dance Marathon student leadership team and participants.
