Community Connect is a secure, no-cost platform designed to facilitate the sharing of essential information with first responders regarding residential or commercial properties, thereby assisting them during emergency situations. This platform enables voluntary provision of details that can aid responders in addressing specific needs or circumstances at a given location, thus optimizing their response effectiveness. August is Back to School Month. In a normal year, 500,000 buses nationwide take 26 million students to and from school each day. Adding field trips, sports and other activities means buses log 10 billion miles every year. See the red flashing lights of a bus? STOP! Video: https://youtube.com/watch?v=ukcCqmJzCPA

Recently, we had the honor of celebrating our newest firetruck, Squad 13, with a push-in ceremony.

The push-in ceremony is a long-standing fire service tradition dating back to the days of horse-drawn fire apparatus. Firefighters would return from a call, but the horses could not back the apparatus into the station. Instead, firefighters would disconnect the horses and physically push the truck back into the bay. Over the years, this tradition became a symbolic ceremony used to welcome a new apparatus into service.

The ceremony represents more than simply putting a new truck in the station. It symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter, the commitment of the firefighters who will serve on it, and the community we are proud to protect.
We are excited to officially welcome Squad 13 into service and look forward to all the years of service ahead. Thank you to everyone who helped make this new addition possible and to our community for your continued support.

Welcome home, Squad 13!
