Good morning, happy Wednesday! It is still weird for me to write "September" on these graphics... time is flying!

It won't feel like September today, that's for sure. Highs in the lower/middle 90s, with heat index values well above 100°. Keep those A/C's cranking!! We get some relief late week & into the upcoming weekend.

August is Back to School Month.
As students return to the classrooms in the coming weeks, the OHSP urges drivers to watch for school buses that are stopped to pick up or drop off students. In Michigan, drivers must stop at least 20 feet away from a school bus when its red lights are flashing. Drivers who pass stopped school buses may be charged with civil infractions carrying a fine up to $500. Penalties are much more severe for drivers who pass a stopped school bus and cause an injury or death. For more information, visit www.Michigan.gov/SchoolBusSafety.

New Buffalo Township Fire's 10th annual Public Safety Day was a huge success!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our 2026 Public Safety Day! We hope you had a great time and enjoyed getting to know the amazing people who help keep our community safe.

A special thank you to Medic 1, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Corewell Health, New Buffalo Sports, Friends of NBT Fire, and all of our NBT firefighters and their families for helping make this year’s event such an awesome day!
