New Burnside Fire Department

New Burnside Fire Department Volunteer Service We are a volunteer fire department. We also assist in search and rescue. We have a great team and everyone watches over each other.

Not only do we serve our community but we also have mutual aide agreements with Carrier Mills FD, Stonefort Fd, Vienna FD, Lake of Egypt FD, Pope County FD, and also member of MABAS. We use our time and risk our lives on every call because it is in our hearts to do so.

Great job on the barn fire last night to our department, Vienna FD, and Stonefort FD. Great job to our Jr Firefighter, Braeden Dalton, for having a good eye, reporting it, and acting quickly. Our fire departments were able to save the barn. We call that success! Thank you VFD and SFD for your assistance!!!!

I would like to thank Vienna, Goreville, Buncombe, Lake Egypt Fire Departments and Two of Pope County's firemen that came to help us on our structure fire this morning. The owner was a neighbor of mine, that I have known my entire life. I'm thankful that there was no injuries, and all firemen went home safe.
Thanks again for all the help

I am saddened to post about the passing of Christopher Firefighter Kody Vanfossan. Passed away in the Line of Duty. May God bless your family, and your Fire Department family. R.I.P. Brother
