For a decade, community support for the Waveny Park Conservancy has transformed the park and made a lasting impact! As we step into our second decade, we are launching some of our most ambitious projects yet:
🌱 Anderson Pond landscape and renewal program introducing new native plants;
🌱 Sight and sound remediation for the trail alongside the Merritt Parkway;
🌱 Landscaping around the new parking lot to the right of Waveny House;
🌱Maintaining our completed project areas to a high standard.

Peonies are popping 🌸🤍🌸!! It’s show time for the stunning peony walk just to the left of Waveny House! You’ll want to come soon as peonies have a fleeting spring bloom window, typically spanning just a few weeks 🌸.

Spring cleaning today of our iconic Eberle fountain🧼! We are grateful to restorers Nick Tatti & Steve from Tatti Art Conservation who perform this maintenance work annually on behalf of Waveny Park Conservancy! Today they gently removed mineral build up on the statue and buildup and debris in the piping so that all four frogs are back in action 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸! They also applied wax and buffed to this nice sheen! Beautiful! In the coming weeks, the statue’s basin will be cleaned, painted, filled with fresh water and ready to celebrate summer! Come enjoy!

The Eberle Fountain: In 1918, Antoinette Lapham, the founder of Waveny, commissioned the female bronze sculptor Abastenia St. Leger Eberle to create the Lotus Fountain to adorn the small lily pond as the centerpiece of the carefully designed formal gardens. In recent years, the fountain was beautifully restored thanks to the generous donation of Susan and Bill Brock. For more information, please visit our website linked in our bio.

Spring cleaning of our iconic Eberle Fountain 🧽! We are grateful to restorers Nick Tatti and Steve from Tatti Art Conservation in New York who perform this maintenance work annually on behalf of Waveny Park Conservancy. Today they gently removed mineral buildup on the statue and buildup and debris in the piping so that all four frogs are back in action 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸! They applied was and buffed to this nice sheen.
