New Canaan EMS

New Canaan EMS Our mission is to consistently & compassionately provide the highest quality pre-hospital emergency medical care to our patients free of charge since 1975

The New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps (NCVAC) provides emergency medical care and transportation to sick and injured residents and visitors on a 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week basis in the town of New Canaan, as well as mutual aid to neighboring communities. Patients are transported to Norwalk Hospital and Stamford Hospital. The NCVAC does not take patients to doctors' offices, immediate care centers, clinics, or HMOs. For life threatening cases, transport is to the nearest hospital.

Congratulations to Ed Reis for going active with New Canaan EMS! Ed, your inquisitive nature and situational awareness make you an excellent EMT, and we are excited to have you at New Canaan EMS.

Prior to becoming an EMT, Ed had a bi-coastal career in tech. Ed and his family moved to New Canaan in 2019, and when not EMTing, you might find Ed refereeing a high school soccer game, playing drums in his band, or competing in a crossword puzzle tournament.

Prior to becoming an EMT, George had a career focused on the energy industry as a CFO and investment banker. George and his family moved to New Canaan in 2024, and when not EMTing, you’ll probably find him on the sidelines of a lacrosse game or on the golf course.
