Before an emergency happens, take a few minutes to:

- Draw a simple floor plan of your home.
- Mark two ways out of every room.
- Pick a safe outdoor meeting place (like a mailbox, tree, or neighbor’s driveway).
- Practice your plan at least twice a year.

If your smoke alarm sounds, get out fast—don’t stop for phones, pets, or pets in phones. Then meet at your spot and call for help.

Congrats Paramedic Grace Maudlin!

We are incredibly proud to recognize Grace for successfully passing the National Registry Paramedic (NREMT-P) exam — a major milestone and the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice.

Becoming a paramedic is not something that happens overnight. Paramedic school is an intense and demanding process that requires hundreds of hours of classroom education, clinical rotations in hospitals, and field internships on ambulances.
