Tomorrow, June 5th, is the final day to help Ava Driscoll and the Country Pride 4-H Food Drive! Please take this opportunity to help our young Arrows with this outstanding project by bringing non-perishable food items to the Donnelsville Mall (until 9 pm tonight and 5 pm tomorrow) or Sugar Shelf Boutique (from 12 - 5 pm tonight and tomorrow). ❤️🖤 Tecumseh Local Schools is deeply saddened to share the loss of one of our dedicated Arrows, Ms. Suzanne Massie. Ms. Massie succumbed to her courageous three-year battle with cancer yesterday, June 1, 2026. ❤️🖤

Ms. Massie faithfully served Tecumseh Local Schools for 25 years, first as a math teacher at Tecumseh High School and most recently as a guidance counselor at Tecumseh Middle School and Tecumseh High School. Additionally, she served as a math teacher at Springfield City School for fourteen years prior to joining the Arrow Family, making thirty-nine years of dedication to the field of education. Over the course of her career, she impacted countless students, families, and colleagues through her dedication, compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support. Thirty-nine years of service represents a lifetime devoted to helping young people learn, grow, and succeed, and the positive influence she leaves behind will continue to be felt for generations.

Suzanne was known for her servant heart and her willingness to go above and beyond to help others whenever possible. Pictured is Ms. Massie donating socks for the recent school Sock Drive benefiting the Shoes for the Shoeless organization just weeks ago. Even while facing her own health challenges, she continued thinking of others and giving back to those in need, a true reflection of who she was.

Additionally, Suzanne helped establish the foundation for the therapy dog program at Tecumseh Local Schools. Maui joined the district to serve students and staff just as her mom, Suzanne, had done for so many years. Her vision and advocacy helped inspire the growth of this important support program, which now includes therapy dogs in many of our school buildings.

Suzanne will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, dedication to education, and genuine care for humankind. She made a difference in the lives of so many, and her legacy of compassion and service will continue to live on throughout our district and community.

Once an Arrow ~ Always an Arrow.

Rest in peace, Suzanne. Please keep Suzanne’s family, friends, students, and colleagues in your thoughts during this difficult time. ❤️🖤
