Mrs. Coyne’s class put determination, perseverance, and teamwork into action during a STEM challenge inspired by the book I Promise by LeBron James.

After reading the book, students worked together in teams to construct a catapult using everyday classroom materials. They then tested their creations to see which team could score the most baskets. Students had to communicate, problem-solve, make adjustments, and persevere when their catapults didn’t work as planned.

Following the STEM challenge, students reflected on the promises they can make to themselves to help them succeed now and in the future. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn that with hard work, determination, teamwork, and a positive attitude, they can accomplish great things!

Due to a power outage caused by an accident in the community, the Junior/Senior High School students will be dismissed early today.

Early Dismissal Times:
Bus I, AA, and E: 10:15 AM
All other buses and walkers: 10:30 AM

This early dismissal applies ONLY to Junior/Senior High School students. All other district buildings will remain in session as regularly scheduled.

On June 22, Mrs. Vournous, 8 senior high students, and a chaperone began an unforgettable adventure through Europe!

Their journey started in Rome, Italy, where they spent two amazing days exploring the city and experiencing its rich history and culture. From Rome, they traveled by bus to Florence, where they spent another two days taking in the sights and making memories.

Next, they flew to Madrid, Spain, where they spent the day before traveling by bus to Toledo for the following day. They then returned to Madrid before continuing their adventure on a high-speed train to Barcelona.

They spent their final two days exploring Barcelona before heading home on July 1.

From historic landmarks and beautiful cities to new experiences, friendships, and countless memories, this was truly a trip of a lifetime!
