Shortly after 2:00pm today, Circuit Court Judge Jerry Crosby administered the oath of office to Douglas Scott Bates to become the next Henry County Judge-Executive. Scott Bates becomes the first Republican to lead Henry County KY Gov as County Judge-Executive.

Per KRS 67.700, Judge-Executive Bates will officially take office at Midnight, Monday, January 2, 2023.

Today, we remember the 2,403 Americans that lost their lives in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1941. While that generation has largely left us, their memories haven't.

Today Scott Bates - Henry County Judge-Executive Elect joined outgoing Henry County KY Gov Judge-Executive John Logan Brent, Congressman Thomas Massie 's field rep Stacie Lewis Rockaway , Campbellsburg Mayor David Gray, and project representatives in breaking ground on the sewer expansion project in Campbellsburg Community Center / City of Campbellsburg, Kentucky .

This will help bring more opportunities for commercial and residential development at Henry County's I71 Exit 34, making us more competitive with neighboring counties to the north and south.

As a three-term county magistrate, and a candidate for Judge-Executive, Scott has worked tirelessly on investing in infrastructure in Henry County, and making Henry County a promising place. Today's event bookmarks this work, and we're just getting started!
