City of New Castle, Kentucky New Castle Kentucky is located in Henry County 35 miles northeast of Louisville, off I-71.

Being one of the oldest cities in Kentucky, New Castle was settled in the 1790’s and became the county seat when Henry County was established in 1798.

New Castle Public Works will be flushing fire hydrants 8/3/26 thru 8/7/26. You may experience a slight variation in water pressure and a slight discoloration in your tap water. This is completely normal and poses no harm to your drinking water.

The phones are currently down due to the continued Spectrum internet outage. Estimated restoration time is now 10:00am. This has been a moving target since yesterday. We will update as we get notifications or service has been restored.

Due to the Spectrum outage the phones at city hall and public works are down.
The outage is supposed to be resolved at 4:00pm according to Spectrum text notifications.
