* * Baccalaureate Service * *

We had a beautiful evening celebrating the Class of 2026 at the Neshannock High School Baccalaureate Service. We extend our sincere gratitude to Pastor Bryan Warner of The Way - Wayside Emmanuel Church for his dedication to planning and organizing this meaningful event, which brought our graduates, families, and community together for a special time of reflection and encouragement.

We are also thankful for the inspiring messages shared by our clergy members: Pastor Bill Lavelle of Grace United Methodist Ministry, Sister Veronica Wood of Holy Spirit Parish, Pastor Trevor Saltsman of First Baptist Church of New Castle, Pastor Josh Watts of City Church, and Pastor John McCready of First Alliance Church of New Castle. Your uplifting words and guidance have encouraged our students as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

A special thank you goes to Pastor Bill Lavelle and the congregation of Grace United Methodist Ministry for graciously hosting this year's Baccalaureate Service. Your hospitality helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for this cherished tradition.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Elisabetta Pucci and the Neshannock High School Choir, including our Senior Choir members, for sharing their musical talents, making the evening even more memorable.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! May you carry with you the wisdom, faith, and encouragement shared as you pursue your dreams and make a positive impact on the world.

* * Over $28,000 Donated to Make-A-Wish®* *

Since the 2022–2023 school year, the District’s Extreme Leadership Representatives and Superintendent’s Council have proudly planned and carried out service projects benefiting Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Together, students set a goal of becoming official “WishMakers” by raising at least $5,000 annually — the average cost of granting a wish for a critically ill child.

This year, our Lancer Community not only met that goal, but far exceeded it.

Following a successful Christmas tree raffle in December and a District-wide “Make-A-Wish® Day” held in April, students proudly raised and donated an incredible $28,282.30 to Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Click on the article below to learn about our impact and the visit to the Make-A-Wish Greater PA and WV headquarters this May!
