A Kentucky Constitutional Amendment will appear on the ballot in November. I encourage voters to read and familiarize themselves with the proposed amendment prior to voting in the General Election. It is important for voters to be able to make an informed decision when voting.

Myself, my staff and my election poll workers are not permitted to explain, assist with understanding or give any guidance pertaining to the proposed amendment to a voter. It is a voter’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the amendment.

Kofile came this afternoon and took Deed Books 26, 27, 28 & 29 for restoration & preservation. They’ll be returned in a couple of months and be ready to keep Henry County’s history alive for years to come.

Effective July 15, 2026 the KY legislature changed Voter ID law. Be aware of the change so you are prepared when you come to vote in any future election!

This morning Kofile returned Deed Books 18, 20, 24 & 25 from where they had been out for restoration & preservation. They look great and will be a invaluable source for years to come!

We will continue to work in preserving Henry County’s written history in phases. Once we finish the oldest Deed Books we will move onto the Wills.
