World Helicopter Day calls for a little rotor appreciation!
Delaware Army National Guard Aviation displayed a UH-60 Black Hawk during the Delaware Air National Guard Family Day in New Castle, Del., Aug. 2. Airmen, their families, and friends had the chance to get an up-close look at the aircraft, meet members of the Delaware Army Aviation team and learn more about the capabilities they bring to the Delaware National Guard.
From the flight line to the community, DNG aviation remains ready to serve the First State and beyond.
Happy World Helicopter Day!

As Soldiers with the Delaware Army National Guard’s 126th Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) unit participate in Annual Training, sharpening their skills and strengthening their readiness, we look back on a real-world search and rescue mission earlier this year which demonstrated the importance of preparation.
While conducting scheduled water hoist training with the Delaware Air Rescue Team (DART) on April 9, the crew quickly transitioned from training to an active search after receiving a report of a missing boater in the Delaware Bay. Working alongside DART, the U.S. Coast Guard, Delaware State Police Aviation Section and local maritime partners, the crew demonstrated the value of continuous training and strong interagency partnerships.
The Delaware National Guard extends its condolences to the family, friends and all those affected by this tragedy. We remain proud of the dedicated Delaware Army Aviation Soldiers and partner agencies who stand ready to serve Delaware and the nation whenever they are called.

Always ready. Always prepared. 🇺🇸

The Delaware National Guard’s 31st Civil Support Team recently completed its External Evaluation in New Castle, Delaware. Across multiple days and locations, Guardsmen responded to separate scenarios involving unknown hazards—demonstrating their ability to identify threats, coordinate resources and support civil authorities during a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear emergency.

Conducted by CST Activity, this standardized evaluation assessed every team discipline and validated the 31st CST’s readiness to support Delaware and the FEMA region. A successful evaluation enables the team to maintain its congressionally mandated certification for operations.

Delaware leadership on the front lines of tomorrow’s fight.
