On May 21, Henry County hosted a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) training. The purpose of this training was to have people trained on the process and layout of a reception center for activation after a large disaster. The VRC helps organize volunteers and provides a safer volunteer response. Thank you to Kim Rodgers-Hatfield of the United Way for facilitating the training and to the New Castle First Baptist Church for providing a location for the training.
