Congratulations to Maddison Hambrock and Maggie Maienbrook on earning the Governor’s Summer Internship Award for their outstanding work with the Indiana Department of Correction this summer.

Maddison partnered with the Division of Workforce Engagement, creating training materials that will support staff development across the agency. Maggie worked with the Division of Youth Services, developing Resource Guides and tools designed to help youth better prepare for successful reentry.

The 2026 Experienced and Emerging Leader’s interview skills were tested this week during the Speed Interviewing activity. Cohort members received interview tips at several different stations from Indiana Department of Correction leaders and former EEL graduates as they traveled through. Each station asked different interview questions to help them prepare, challenge, and master the Job Interview.

On July 10, 2026, we recognized the DWE North Region Training Staff for the hard work and daily support they provide. Their dedication has been a tremendous asset in ensuring the success of IDOC training programs.

During this visit, the North Region Training Staff also had the opportunity to tour the new training facility at Westville State Prison.
